Study Abroad
For Total Language Immersion

As we've mentioned in the best way to learn English if you have the opportunity to study abroad, it will help you immensely, as it is one the best ways to learn a language.

Being immersed in a native English speaking country will dramatically improve your skills, in a shorter period of time.

This is because of the necessity of having to speak the language everyday. You'll already be highly motivated and interested in learning the language too (which is most important) otherwise you wouldn't have travelled half way around the world in the first place!

There are all kinds of study abroad programs, homestays, internships and scholarships available.

Why Study Abroad?

Here's a summary of why it's a good idea:

  • Language immersion - Best way to learn the language
  • Travel
  • Culture - truly find out about the real culture for yourself. Learn more about yourself and your own culture in comparison, and gain a different perception of world cultures and people.
  • Reality - Learn skills and stuff you won't find in a classroom.
  • Make friends - meet international students who are also studying English - including students from your own country.
  • Change of environment - a change in study, political, law and cultural system, could be a nice break for a while.
  • Enhance Opportunities - Employers will look favourably on someone who has shown courage, initiative and determination.
  • Enhance your degree - A degree from a well know university will set you up well. You might also get to take courses, not available to you in your own. And of course, there are the English language benefits that come along with it too.
